KYIV, Ukraine ( AP ) – Russia launched a barrage of missiles against Ukraine overnight, in attacks that appeared to target the country’s energy infrastructure. Russia claimed that its air defense systems had intercepted more than 60 Ukrainian drones over the southwestern Krasnodar area.

Ukraine’s air pressure said Saturday that Russia had launched 34 rockets against Ukraine immediately, of which 21 had been shot down by Russian weather threats.

Energy Minister Herman Halushenko stated in a blog on Telegram that an engineer was hurt and that energy infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk in the north of the nation and Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv in the west had been attacked.

Without going into specifics, private energy company DTEK claimed that four of its thermal power plants had been damaged and that there were” casualties” there.

Russia launched a massive missile and drone strike against Ukraine’s largest energy flowers earlier this month, destroying one of the country’s largest power plants and injuring another.

Ukraine has urged its Western friends to build more air defense systems to thwart such problems. U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced at a conference of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group on Friday that the U.S. would supply Ukraine with more ammunition and equipment for its air defense missiles.

After Russia launched a missile strike immediately on Kharkiv, the second-largest city in Ukraine, one doctor was damaged farther east and one individual was hurt. A large volcano on the facility’s grounds and patients sheltered in corridors were captured in photos from the field. A 53-year-old woman was hurt, according to provincial governor By Syniehubov.

Also in the Kharkiv place, a man was killed in an over attack on the city of Vovchansk, according to Ukraine’s State Service for Emegency Situations.

According to the Defense Ministry, 66 drones flew over the country’s southwestern Krasnodar place after being intercepted by Russian air defense systems. Two more robots were shot along over the annexation of the Crimean Peninsula in Moscow.

Veniamin Kondratyev, the chancellor of the Krasnodar region, claimed that Russian forces had attacked an oil refinery and infrastructure facilities but that neither a casualty nor significant harm had been caused. A flames broke out at the Slavyansk petrol plant in Slavyansk- on- Powerful during the attack, according to the local department of the Emergency Situations Ministry.

Russian authorities typically decline to comment on strikes on Russian soil, but the Ukrainian Energy Ministry announced on Saturday that two drone-caused oil industries in the Krasnodar place had been hit.

A drone attack in a frontier village in the Belgorod region of Russia left five people injured, according to the provincial governor. Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
