
On Friday, violent tornadoes ripped through the Midwest, causing some people to lose their homes.
The storms hit around Omaha, Nebraska, and Minden, Iowa.  , Forecasters issued tornado warnings on Saturday for areas in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas, according to the Associated Press ( AP ).

Many people were hurt, but no fatalities have been reported as of Friday night, NPR continued:
Three people were hurt in Nebraska’s Lancaster County when a tornado hit an professional building, causing it to collapse with 70 people in. Some were trapped, but everyone was evacuated and the traumas were no life- threatening, authorities said.

According to the AP, the city of Minden, which is located north of Omaha, was hit difficult.

People were prepared for the wind, but they did not anticipate such serious injury, according to KETV.

Toccara Steele was traveling to Omaha’s Eppley Airfield when she saw a storm through a window in the newspaper’s Omaha World-Herald on Friday.
