You are aware that the “woke” social trend has gone much too far when Don Lemon feels compelled to speak out against it.
The mercurial former CNN host made an appearance on HBO’s” Real Time With Bill Maher” recently about the left-wing bias at National Public Radio ( NPR ), which recently fired a longtime editor who blew the whistle about the toxic culture at the government-funded media outlet.
The host, who is an outspoken critic of the “woke” left, posed a viewer problem to the ex-CNN character about NPR during a section with Lemon and the movie’s another visitor, New York University doctor Scott Galloway.

Maher:” What do you think of NPR’s *alleged* progressive partiality”?
Lemon:” Yes it does have a democratic stretch. I believe that many advertising companies need to conduct some internal reflection on what’s going on inside the organization.

” What do you think of the ruckus Don, over NPR’s alleged – alleged, ok – democratic bias? ” Maher asked”. The NPR cover, that was the great history last year. What do you think about that…as anyone who’s had his scuffles with multimedia?”
” I think there’s always room for improvement and it’s unfortunate, I do n’t listen to NPR I’m sure as much as many people do, I do n’t get to listen to it, but yes, it does have a liberal bent,” Lemon responded.
He said,” But I think many internet companies need to conduct some self-reflection about what’s going on inside the organization.” DEI is – appearance, there’s some great things about DEI, but it’s not all you know, rose and I think we need to take a look at it and do some reconfiguring.”
” Because it’s gone to far. It’s become a church, “he continued to applause from the life visitors”. And if you do n’t practice the religion, you’re expelled from the church.
Galloway” jumped in,” saying that NPR should return the 1 % of state funding so they can be completely honest and courageous of their bias, just like the rest of the media, “adding that an institution that takes people money has a responsibility.”
” What you just said which I think is completely true and fully reasonable…,” Maher said”. That is the exact type of thing if you said that on NPR, they’d flame you,” casually pointing to Lemon”, You’ve been fired much lately.”
Lemon then plugged in his new book, saying,” I’m going to find a lot of sh*t from liberals for saying what I said, but I do have a guide coming out and I write about that, “he said. I write about that I like DEI but when it becomes a faith, it can be used as a tool.”
After being fired last year from CNN for a long-standing on-air controversy, Lemon was fired after being fired as CEO Chris Light. He was immediately ousted as a result of an inner conflict over the show’s choice to show previous president Donald J. Trump in a city hall environment that was disastrous for the CNN brand.
After a controversial appointment with X user Elon Musk last month, Lemon eventually landed on X, but his on the app imploded before getting off the launchpad.
