MOSCOW: Three members of a well-known Russian metal band — Korrozia Metalla — were on Saturday arrested in the middle of a concert and charged with displaying “Nazi symbols”, authorities said.
According to local authorities in the northern area of Nijni- Novgorod, the three strap members, aged 19, 42, and 57, are accused of “propaganda or common exposition of Nazi accessories or symbols.”
Three members of a music group were detained by police in one of Nijni-Novorod’s clubs, according to a statement released by the authorities.
The crime is typically retributed with a good or a brief period of operational confinement.
According to police, they seized T-shirts and textbooks “displaying prohibited images” from stores.
The patterns in query are “old Russian symbols,” according to group leader Maria Rounova, who told state news agency TASS.
Security forces can be seen entering the music hall and forcing attendees to lie on the ground in photos shared on social media.
Moscow has reacted to protest with more and more pressure on free appearance since Russia started the conflict in Ukraine more than two years ago.
