After seven of its employees were killed by an Israeli attack earlier this month, the non-profit firm announced on Sunday that World Central Kitchen will resume businesses in the Gaza Strip.
The non- income firm, founded by celebrity restaurant Jose Andres, had paused its activities in Gaza after the attack on April 1. Erin Gore, the CEO of World Central Kitchen (WCK), stated in a concept that the firm will” continue to get as much meal into Gaza, including northern Gaza, as possible.”
” The humanitarian situation in Gaza is still perplexing. We are restarting our activity with the same power, dignity, and concentrate on feeding as many people as feasible. We have distributed more than 43 million foods so far, and we are eager to make thousands more available. Our work in Gaza has been the most life-saving objective in our 14-year corporate history, according to Gore, who stated in the declaration. Food is a common right.
According to the speech, the firm has 276 trucks, which would be equivalent to roughly 8 million meals, ready to pass through the Rafah passing. Additionally, it intends to pass through Jordan to take cars carrying food, and it is looking into how to get food through Ashdod Port.
