Starting next year, some well-known faces on CBS ‘ The NFL Now will stop being so well-known.
CBS has decided to cut ties with lifelong researchers Boomer Esiason and Matt Ryan and JJ Watt in a significant change to one of the more well-known NFL Sunday night pre-game shows.
Nate Burleson and Bill Cowher may continue to appear on the program while Ryan and Watt do.
Isaacson made the announcement on Monday that he would no longer be on the network’s top NFL pre-game present. Esiason added that he has a long-term commitment to keeping his position as host of the WFAN night show in New York City.

“More their determination than even me, ” Esiason said.
“ I had been there for 22 years. The person who hired me again in 2001 was a guy by the name of Sean McManus, who was the CBS Sports Chairman. It would have never in my wildest dreams been possible, and it would have lasted 22 times. With all the persons that I’ve worked with CBS and the ‘NFL Now, ’ it ’s been an incredible work. ”
“Great 26 yrs run with CBS SPORTS. I look forward to what will come next, even though that portion of my job is over, ” Phil Simms wrote on X.

“I’m not going to get out of it, ” Simms told The Post. “ I don’t understand what I’ll do if I don’t go back to CBS. But I’m certainly going to continue to work with or in the NFL — there, somehow, whatever it is. I’m really not going to get, ‘OK, I’m done. I’m retired. ’ ”
