Say:  , President Joe Biden, 81, just claimed on The Howard Stern Show that he “got arrested” during the civil rights movement.
VERDICT: Probably fake
According to CNN, there is no proof that officials arrested Biden while defending legal rights.
According to The Washington Post and PolitiFact, which were able to find no evidence that Biden actually was detained during a civil rights demonstration in 2022, and Biden has at least double claimed to have been present at this specific Delaware rally without mentioning any arrest, rather claiming that the police only took him home that day.
On Friday, the White House did not respond to a request for comment right away.
Biden , made the comment  , while speaking with Howard Stern. While urging him to accept Barack Obama’s present to be vice president, the president allegedly recounted what his mother claimed.  , Biden ‘s , mother, he said, urged him to , accept , the blog.
Biden told Stern:
She said,” Joey, let me — remember” — real story, she said—” Remember when they were desegregating Lynnfield, the neighborhood … suburbia— and I told you — and there was a dark family moving in and there was — people were down it protesting, I told you not to go down it and you went along, remember that? And you were detained while posing on the door with a dark home? And they brought you back, the officers”? And I said,” Yeah, Mom, I remember that”.
According to Director of Communications for the State Freedom Caucus Network, Biden ‘s  statement was made during an interview where he made outrageous claims and, possibly, some lies:
- He claimed to have saved six people from drowning while working as a swimmer.
- He claimed he received” lurid images” from people in the 1970s that he handed to Secret Service.
- He claimed he was a “runner- up in position ranking” in sports.
Additionally, he furthermore stated to Stern that he would issue former US President Donald Trump. Bis that point, Biden had been uncommittal about discussing Trump. Trump has said he would be glad to fight Biden on his history,  , pledging , in March to question him anytime, anyplace.
Biden is” an elderly man with a poor memory” , , according , to Special Counsel Robert Hur.
