Texans in Eagle Pass, Texas, issued a caution to illegal immigrants who may attempt to cross the Rio Grande from Mexico:” Crocodiles are in the Rio Grande. In some areas, however, warning indicators are posted. Cross at your own risk”.
Governor Abbott’s warning was posted on X ( formerly Twitter ) on Saturday in response to a video that local resident Luis De La Torre posted in Eagle Pass showed a large alligator swimming in the Rio Grande. A pair of large gators have been spotted in the area for decades, according to Border Patrol agents in the area.

One Border Patrol agent who works the Rio Grande in the area claims that Border Patrol agents often encounter the two crocodiles between the city’s northern close and the two entry points close to the heart of city. The cause, who was not authorized to speak to the media, claims that the crocodiles were domesticated animals that escaped from a dermatologist who resided north of the city about 20 years earlier. During a flood incident in the Rio Grande, the non-breeding couple escaped from an enclosure.
The gophers and the thousands of migrants who have crossed the Rio Grande since their escape have not been reported encounters, according to the cause. The alligators do n’t appear to be afraid of the airships we use. They may float along the side of the boat out of curiosity”, the source added.
In the most recent sight, the alligators were seen near a proposed military intricate that the State is building as part of Abbott’s Operation Lone Star border protection operation, which will house 2,200 Texas Army National Guard personnel. As reported by Breitbart Texas, the base does offer extraordinary improvements to the current accommodations for soldiers working along the border, including personal rooms, a 700- seat dining facility, a fun center, laundry facilities, and WiFi access.
The Eagle Pass Forward Operating Center is still under development.
In response to President Biden’s continued border crisis, dozens of Texas National Guard personnel will be stationed at this base camp.
