Former President Donald Trump will likely be found guilty in the New York firm report trial, according to Norm Eisen, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.
Eisen said,” They’re going for one angry juror. Every time, I’m in the court to observe and write about the trial, and one of the issues I do is watch the jury, especially when Trump enters and exits, and so far, it’s not working. The trial has quite successfully argued in their beginning and then presented information through David Pecker of a criminal conspiracy to control an election. I have to agree with Tim.
He continued,” It is a violation of the law to pump money into people to eliminate negative stories to gain a battle, and Pecker testified they agreed to it.” And citizens have pleaded guilty to that and been prosecuted for it. That is against the rules. And then if you cover it up with 34 fake papers, you have 34 pretty serious crimes. And the trial has made this circumstance, George, as an election meddling situation. They’ve emphasized to the judge the severity of the case. They did attempt to break down David Pecker, but they made a mistake. the same kind of deceptive behavior that their customer has engaged in. They showed a report to Pecker, and the prosecutor found it to be misleading.
Eisen added,” And I’ve always had to do this. I was telling Tim the other day, I’ve always had to do this in 30, over 30 years of going to court. When we first went to court on Friday night, they made Trump’s attorney regret. But, I think we’re headed for a faith, and with it, as I wrote in” The New York Times” this year, possible jail time”.
