Four teenagers from Florida were killed after leading a high-speed fight led by state troopers using the PIT movement.
A group of men aged 14- 17 were in an SUV , that had been reported stolen days earlier  , on April 20 , when a Bradford County prosecutor’s lieutenant saw them and called for storage, the Daily Mail reported.
Deputies attempted to pull the aircraft over after being told there were several passengers inside, but the pilot veered off at speeds a top of 111 mph.  ,
” They did start to pull over on the shoulder of the road, but before they came to a full stop, they accelerated once, and that is when the hunt was on”, said Col. Brad Smith, chief deputy of the sheriff’s office.
The Bradford delegates were unable to stay up after the SUV crossed the state line.  ,
” The]Florida ] Highway Patrol was, at that point, the only vehicle that could actually keep up with them”, Smith said. Our vehicles don’t move at the same rate as they were, but we did try to keep one of our units as a fallback device to FHP as close as possible until Alachua County’s units may catch up with them.
A Florida Highway Patrol ( FHP ) trooper attempted to stop” the threat created by the fleeing suspect” as the chase progressed, rolling over and smashing into a cement pole in the Waldo neighborhood.  ,
” The Trooper made purposeful contact with the Honda, causing it to decelerate”, FHP said in a statement obtained by the store.
Fourteen of the four youth survived the effect, but two of them passed away at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
According to WCJB, it took more than an afternoon and a half for emergency personnel to replace all of the patients from the aircraft.  ,
Some of the car occupants were apparently wearing ski faces.  ,
Eventually, authorities discovered that three of the boys who were in the accident had active warrants and that two of them were wearing hip tracking devices.
Afterwards, Lawrence McClendon Jr. and Jabril Cheevers were identified as students of the local Newberry High School.
Principal James Sheppard wrote in a message to parents that the Daily Mail viewed,” It is with great sadness that I share the news that two Newberry High School students who were involved in the major automobile incident this past weekend have then passed away from their wounds.” ” Thank you for keeping these two people in your thoughts during this challenging day.
According to head football coach Ed Johnson,” Lawrence was a wonderful person to be around and include in our program.”
” As a basketball player he was aggressive, brilliant and continuous, with a knack for making great plays. Everyone in the Lion sports community will miss him dearly, he added.
Lawrence’s family, LaToya McClendon, organized a GoFundMe to raise funds for funeral expenses, saying her father’s life was” cruelly cut quick”.
” We lost our oldest child exactly one month earlier and buried him three weeks ago. As you can imagine we as a home are DEVASTATED”, the grieving family wrote.  ,
” We are praying that God may support us place our child to rest. We realize times are rough for all, and we are so glad for any payment. Prayer are most certainly also appreciated,”!
McClendon’s older brother, Jermaine Godbolt Jr., 18, was gunned down in Newberry in soon March, WCJB reported. Authorities are still looking for the person or individuals concerned.  ,
In a massive battle in an Alachua area in 2020, the mom was detained for another incident involving a car in which she was accused of using her car to reach two people, including a 15-year-old girl who claimed the mirror of LaToya McClendon’s car hit her.
