Governor and past president Donald Trump After a contentious Republican primary, Ron DeSantis (R-FL ) and a private meeting were reportedly staged to “bury the hatchet” in Florida.
According to the Washington Post, “people with knowledge of the matter” claim that Steve Witkoff, a Florida real estate investor and engineer who both men know, organized the shock meeting and that he also attended. According to sources, Witkoff called the Trump plan and requested a meeting with DeSantis. The conference was reported to have been “friendly” and took position in Miami.

According to people with knowledge of the situation, supporters organized the meeting in hope of a possible reconciliation between the two males, and Trump’s advisers anticipate DeSantis will use his donor community to help increase significant sums of money for the general election. The people spoke on the condition of anonymity to identify personal discussion, just like other people who were interviewed for this account.
DeSantis agreed to assist Trump after the couple had met for many days.

I do n’t want DeSantis to be Trump’s VP. I’m all for him supporting the Trump play and helping raise money for the system, but I want him to stay in office. And I think it had really hurt his 2028 probabilities.
