Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, was criticized by the Anti-Defamation League’s ( ADL ) Midwest chapter for reaching an agreement with anti-Israel protesters who had set up an encampment on campus.
In a post on X, the ADL Midwest shared a statement calling the deal between the school and activists, “reprehensible, hazardous, and a case investigation in failed leadership”, pointing out that the demonstrators had violated some college policies.
The ADL Midwest’s speech comes after Northwestern University announced on Monday that a deal had been reached between the demonstrators who oppose Israel. In trade, protesters agreed to close the camp that had been set up for the previous year.
