Anti-Israel protesters detonated a statue of George Washington and draped it with a Palestinian flag on the George Washington University ( GWU) campus in Washington, DC.
The monument, which is at the entry to the anti- Israel camp on the school’s school, has a Israeli flag draped in the back. The plaques at the base of the statue and across the top half of the monument’s memorial feature the phrases” Genocidal Warmongering University.”
As of Tuesday morning, smaller evidence and plants were even visible lining the statue’s base.

The anti-Israel camp at George Washington University was initially established on Thursday, and it has since spread to houses on H Street from the school’s University Yard.
Protesters participating in the encampment on the campus reportedly consist of students from universities and colleges throughout the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia ( DMV) metro areas, according to the campus newspaper, the GW Hatchet.
According to the outlet, the protesters want “each represented universities to drop all charges against pro-Palestine protesters and scholar organizations, protect free conversation on campus, divest from companies supplying technology and arms to Israel, share all endowments and investments, and stop educational partnerships with Israel,” according to the request.
An original camp began on Columbia University’s campus on April 17. The next day, several students were suspended, and thousands of protesters were arrested.
Columbia University , removed the first camp. Yet, a minute some has popped up in its place.
Anti- Israel camps have been established at Harvard University, Yale University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of California Los Angeles, and Rutgers University.
