Co-host Mika Brzezinski claimed that Columbia students breaking into a school building over “looked precisely like January 6″ on Tuesday’s MSNBC” Morning Joe” broadcast. While Joe Scarborough, Brzezinski’s co-host, stated that those who were legitimately offended by January 6 and Charlottesville are equivocating on the school condition.
Scarborough said,” Well, what did that look like, what did those children look like when they were breaking the skylights”?
Brzezinski answered,” It looked like January 6. It resembled January 6 accurately. So, students have quite a concept in MAGA Republicans, I guess”.
Later in the segment, Scarborough remarked,” ]A ] fter Charlottesville, when there were people saying, no, no, no there are good people on both sides, universal condemnation. Individuals talking about murder and holding up signs that reference the ultimate solution are all chants that are heard everywhere, from the valley to the sea. I’ll say that there are many letters from people who say,” Yes, we understand that stuff, but just look through it, there are good people on both sides, simply ignore the murderous hatred toward Immigrants,” and look at what other people are trying to do. It’s interesting how they want school administrators and Jewish pupils to sort through homicidal slogans as they attend classes and be okay with it because it’s a part of a bigger reason. And as Mika said, it looked a lot like January 6. That was activity, set, fit for most of the people, for us, and also for people in the middle and a lot of people on the left. Instead of just the natural vandalism and legal activity that it is, that appear to be some people who are celebrating this as an act of civil disobedience right now. … And instantly, the folks who were so offended about January 6, clearly, so offended about what Donald Trump said after Charlottesville, clearly, are saying, yeah, yeah, but this is complicated. … No, it’s actually, — it’s just not complicated. … And I do n’t think administrators should say, yeah, but, let’s sort through this and maybe the crimes are n’t so bad, maybe the ends justify the means. No. They did n’t on January 6. They do n’t here”.
