Actor Daniel Radcliffe has immediately responded to Harry Potter creator J. K. Rowling’s position on trans extremism.
Last month,  , J. K. Rowling sparked conversations on her social media feeds Thursday when she celebrated a recent , BBC report , showing the U. K. National Health Service ( NHS) admitted gender services for adolescents was based on “remarkably weak” evidence.
Afterwards, a commenter suggested Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson may “give you a very common apology… safe in the knowledge that you will pardon them.”

Daniel Radcliffe publicly , threw J. K. Rowling under the bus , in 2020 when he said” Transgender , women are women” after she had been labeled a TERF ( Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist ) by LGBTQ extremists.
According to Radcliffe, “any claim that it does nothing to diminish the identification and dignity of transgender individuals goes against all advice given by specialist health care organizations, who have much greater than Jo or I in this area of knowledge.” The Trevor Project reports that 78 % of transgender and nonbinary children have experienced discrimination because of their gender identity.
Radcliffe had not immediately addressed J. K. Rowling until this week when he told , The Atlantic , that her remarks made him” unfortunate”.

” It makes me really terrible, ultimately”, Radcliffe said. ” I do look at the person that I met, the days that we met, and the books that she wrote, and the world that she created, and all of that is to me so greatly empathic”.
Radcliffe claimed that he thinks it would have been dishonest for him to never say anything when Rowling first appeared.
” I’d worked with the Trevor Project for 12 years and it would have seemed like, I do n’t know, immense cowardice to me to not say something”, he said. ” I wanted to try to help those who had been impacted negatively by the remarks, and I wanted to point out that if those are Jo’s opinions, then they are not those of everyone in the Potter series.”

Radcliffe did, however, say that the Harry Potter franchise ( which made him a tycoon ) “would not have happened without” Rowling.
