Thanks to the compassion of the famous rock group Metallica, a Texas high school band was able to win$ 15, 000 worth of equipment.

Boerne High School, a community in Kendall County, is one of the victors of the internationally renowned team’s” For Whom the Band Tolls” competition, which challenged schools all over the country to make shows that incorporate Metallica music. &nbsp,

The team is doling out practically$ 200, 000 in gear to award winners across many types. Boerne tied with a class in Malverne, New York, for “best efficiency by a moderate- sized great school”, information KSAT.

The young musicians at Boerne submitted a four- second mixture of some of Metallica’s most popular songs, including the namesake of the competition—” For Whom the Bell Tolls” –” Enter Sandman”,” Fade to Black”,” Get and Destroy”, and” Master of Puppets”.

” The prize money was used to purchase a brand-new bassline in place of the one that had been in use since 2010.” Our incoming students all have instruments for the moving and music season thanks to some new purchases, according to Boerne band chairman Daniel Person. ” We’ve even purchased an device that would allow individuals with financial need to get a high-quality instrument through the school.”

The whole list of winners, which KSAT obtained, shows that the rewards went to high schools and universities all across the nation:

    Collegiate – Division 1: Auburn University –$ 75, 000 in awards

    Collegiate – Division 2, 3: Eastern New Mexico University –$ 40, 000 in rewards

High School – Small: Oakton High School ( Vienna, VA ) –$ 15, 000 in prizes
