    Nolte: Democrat Policies Doom New York’s Famous Flatiron District

    Democrat plans have gutted Manhattan’s when- growing business district known as Flatiron.

    The New York Post reports that nearly a hundred outlet stores and total structures have closed within the little place, leaving behind clear storefronts, rampant violence, and panhandlers.

    ” It’s like a cancer. The more retailers near, fewer want to transfer. The Flatiron District is” not the same,” according to State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar. ” It’s not just the kiosks”, he continued. ” It’s the declining real estate values, which reflect the decline of the area. There is a general consensus that life is n’t as good as it once was.

    Staples = gone.

    CVS = gone.

    Lowe’s = gone.

    T- Mobile – gone.

    Sleep Bath &amp, Beyond = gone.

    Bank of America = gone.

    Those corporations left behind, says the Post, are “plagued by rampant theft and thefts”, as well as terrible prices.

    A wine gallery owner told the Post,” Some people tried to start new businesses in the empty Sixth Avenue stores, but most of them did n’t survive for four or five months.” ” Business is horrible]and ] Inflation is through the roof”. How do you balance your income and investments?

    Local retailers also blame the pandemic shutdowns, which drove people to internet browsing.

    The Democratic Party’s soft-on-crime laws are a persistent problem that is getting worse.

    ” Over the past two decades, “per NYPD data”, financial incidents have gone up by 55.7 % and petty larcenies have jumped by around 34 % within the downtown restrictions, according to the information.”

    This year alone, police reported 853 financial incidents in the area, away from 484 over the same time last yr— for a large 76 % jump”. Petty larceny reports climbed an astonishing 57 percent over last year, from 645 to 1, 013.

    ” People just walk in, grab bottles and run away. Someone tries to walk out with a bottle at least once a week” ,&nbsp, said the local wine merchant. He continued,” NYPD does not help at all.” They only ask if we are okay and instruct us against confronting the thieves.

    How can a once great city get out of this kind of downward spiral?

    There’s only one way, and that’s for the local politicians to reverse their failed policies, which is no longer possible. The extreme left has taken over the Democratic Party, and they want chaos, decay, and blight. Any Democrats who start speaking out in the primaries will lose.

    The solution is simple. Democrats need only 1 ) a crackdown on crime, 2 ) lower taxes, 3 ) decrease regulations, and 4 ) instead of utilizing all their energies to preen about global warming, Israel, and abortion, they should start filling potholes. Stop trying to be the UN and concentrate on resolving local issues and issues relating to quality of life.

    But it will never happen.

    Let’s not pity New Yorkers. The voters are ultimately responsible. And they are now receiving the results of their votes. The city is dying, but rents remain high thanks to the flood of Biden’s illegal immigrants. That’s called getting what you voted for.

    No skin off my nose. I live here.
