” Oklahoma agents and law enforcement partners have seized countless tons of dangerous drugs and detained untold numbers of traffickers, many of whom entered without authorization through our southern border,” it continues.

The measure will” subject immigrants in Oklahoma illegally to jail time and fines,” according to OU Daily.

Those who violate HB 4156 will be sentenced to up to a year in county jail, a$ 500 fine, or both. The first offense will be a misdemeanor. The second offense would be categorized as a felony, and those found guilty of impermissible occupation could face a two-year jail term, a$ 1,000 fine, or both.

Attorney for Oklahoma Gentner Drummond also praised the bill, claiming that it “provides law enforcement with the tools necessary to ensure public safety for all Oklahomans.”

” I am appreciative of House Speaker McCall and Senate President Pro Tempore Treat for their prompt action in bringing the bill into existence,” he continued.

It comes as states grapple with the effects of President Biden’s open border policies, requiring them to take matters into their own hands.

” Those who come into our country illegally have broken the law, yet Biden refuses to deport them”, she continued.

” This bill gives Iowa law enforcement the authority to carry out immigration laws that are already in place,” he said.
