
As pro-Palestine protesters attempted to remove the emblem and display the Israeli flag at UNC Chapel Hill on Tuesday, a group of college fraternity brothers attempted to defend the American flag. Despite pro-Palestinian protesters regularly yell profanities and pour water at the college students, the fraternity sons defended the symbol for about an hour.
In a post on X, previously Online, Guillermo Estrada, a UNC student, shared an consideration of Tuesday’s event. The scholar from the school who is a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity shared his opinion of the occasion, explaining that while he did not know everything about the Middle Eastern fight, he did not want the demonstrators to disrespect the British emblem.

Estrada noted that people began singing” The Star-Spangled Banner” after the American flag was raised up on the flag. He continued, nevertheless, that protesters were “preparing to kill it” and had once more begun to replace the American flag after the college chancellor left.
Estrada said,” My fraternity brother and others ran over to hold it up so that it would n’t touch the ground.” ” Citizens began throwing water jugs at us, rocks, stones, calling us vulgar names. Many people fight to protect the symbol, so we stood for an hour.

Estrada explained that he witnessed the compromises made by military personnel for the country and was raised in a military family. He continued, “memorable in knowing that my fraternity sons and some fought to keep the flag away,” adding that his final day of UNC may be “memorable in knowing that.” On the other hand, he claimed that the event was likewise noteworthy because it revealed how many people “aspired” to disregard the American flag.
A GoFundMe page was created to raise money for a “rager” for the nationalist college students in the wake of the brotherhood brothers ‘ security of the American flag.
