House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA ) is attempting to rally House Democrats to protect his position and prevent a motion to veto the following year by holding a bad approval rating.
Johnson’s holds a bad 3.5 approval rating, RealClearPolitics votes regular shows:

- Positive: 27.6 percent
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene ( R- GA ) said Wednesday she intends to move on a motion to vacate Johnson from the Speakership. By allowing Liberals to command the House, she claimed Johnson betrayed Democrats.

Johnson, along with Democrats and creation Republicans, passed President Joe Biden’s legislative agenda that some conservatives much opposed. Particularly, Greene cited three pieces of legislation that Johnson authorized:
- Federal funding
- Surveillance of British people
- Without first obtaining the border, funding Ukraine is not possible.
In reply to , Greene’s news, Johnson , condemned , her choice to eventually make good on her risks.  ,” This movement is incorrect for the Republican meeting, bad for the institution, and bad for the country”, he claimed in a statement.
Some moderate Republicans think Johnson should remain in his position, worried that a movement to depart might impair House Republicans ‘ ability to control the majority in the House.
Some Republicans from America First believe that Johnson should be held accountable for working with Democrats to keep his career. To safeguard Johnson, Democrats are expected to cast a ballot in concert with some established Republicans.
Yet though his funding amounts are generally poor, Johnson tried to use the November election to motivate Democrats and creation Democrats to continue in power.
” I have to complete my work. We have to do what we believe to be the correct thing”, Johnson , claimed , at a Tuesday press conference. To continue doing that work and get it done, we need people who are critical about the job at hand. So I must always do what I think is best and allow the cards to tumble where they may.
