Given the anger that Palestinians have shown toward Israel and Jews and with whom they have indoctrinated their children, former President Donald Trump cast fear on the possibility of a Palestinian state this year.
Trump made the remarks in a Time magazine meeting with , which was more notable for his criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who he claimed bore democratic responsibility for the Hamas attack on October 7.
But Trump added that he now saw a Palestinian position as nearly impossible, as Israel’s Arutz Sheva noted:
” I once believed that two states had job. Then I think two state is going to be very, very difficult. I believe it will be much harder to obtain. Additionally, I believe you have fewer supporters who liked the concept. Four years ago, you had a large number of people who liked the plan. Now, you have much fewer people that like that idea”, Trump said in an interview with TIME Magazine.
The previous president remarked,” Children grow up and are taught to love Jews at a level that was previously unimaginable. And I had a colleague, a very good buddy, Sheldon Adelson, who felt that it was impossible to make a bargain because the level of anger was so great. Although the level of anger against Jews was so wonderful and was taught from the moment they were in school and before, I believe it was much more so on one side than the other.
He adds that he disagreed with what Adelson told him,” but so far, he has n’t been wrong”.
The Zionist Organization of America ( ZOA ), a proper- leaning pro- Israel team in the U. S., drew attention to Trump’s comment on Thursday. ZOA has huge opposed a” two- state answer”, which is the standard policy in Washington.
