The Department of Labor reported on Thursday that U.S. performance slipped a little bit in the first quarter to a 3.5 % annual rate, which is a step back from the 3.5 % rate in the final three months of 2023.
Over the past four rooms, U. S. performance has increased 2.9 percent.

Unit labour costs, a crucial measure of wage prices, rose 4.7 percent in the first quarter of 2024. The productivity gain of 0.3 % is taken from the 5.0 % increase in hourly pay in the quarter to calculate that figure.
Over the past 12 months, system labor costs have risen 1.8 percentage.
