Senator , Bernie Sanders ( I- VT ) said Thursday on CNN International’s” Amanpour” that the pro- Palestine demonstrations on college campuses could be President Joe Biden’s Vietnam.
What do you think will occur to Biden and his promotion, as sponsor Christiane Amanpour said? Because it also concerns American foreign policy, where do you think all of this will result?
Smith said,” Well, in terms of his plan. You know, I’m considering this because others are making the case that this may be Biden’s Vietnam. Lyndon Johnson in many respects, was a really, really good senator internally, and brought back some key pieces of legislation. Because of his opposition to his opinions on Vietnam, he decided against running in 1968, and I worry that President Biden is alienating both younger people and a sizable portion of the Democratic base because of his opinions on Israel and this conflict.
He continued,” I did wish very much that the leader stops giving a blank check to Netanyahu from a policy standpoint from a moral standpoint, and I do hope that they understand that this has not been good.” Quite the contradictory”.
