In the Mountain State’s Republican presidential key, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey leads by seven points over his closest rival, according to a Research America/West Virginia MetroNews surveys.
With the help of registered Republicans and politicians who will ask for a Democrat ballot, Morrisey is in the lead. He is up one place from Research America/WV MetroNews’s April surveys and is staving off his social kingdom competitors.
Businessman Chris Miller — brother of U. S. Rep. Carol Miller ( R- WV )— is next, with 25 percent help, followed by Moore Capito at 24 percent. Moore Capito— a former state representative and brother of Sen. Shelley Moore Capito ( R- WV ) — slipped five items compared to April’s surveys, while Miller is up nine items.
With ten percentage of the vote, West Virginia Secretary of State Mac Warner seals the deal, which is a two-point lost since April. Ninety percent of voters either oppose or support another candidate.
Since April, Morrisey has increased by a shield five points as a result of the movements between Capito and Miller.
Looking deeper, the support collapse among totally registered Republicans is 31 percent for Morrisey, 27 percent for Miller, 23 cent for Capito, and ten percent for Warner.
Politicians, at 31 %, are the primary voters who Morrisey is most likely to support. Capito charges second best on this front, with 25 percent, followed by Miller at 21 percentage and Warner at ten percent.
The people are looking to make the election in the May 14 major, as Trump- backed Gov. Jim Justice ( R- WV ) has termed out and is vying for retiring Sen. Joe Manchin’s ( D- WV ) seat.

The survey sampled 407 responders from April 24 to May 1, 2024, and the trust frequency is ± 4.9 percentage points.
It follows an outcast study from the pro- Capito PAC, Coalition for West Virginia’s Prospect, which the Weirton Daily Times information was conducted by NMB Research.
The study showed Capito, whom Donald Trump Jr. has encouraged voters not to up, leading at 31 cent, with Morrisey in second place at 23 percent. Miller garnered 14 percentage, while Warner took 13 percent.
The pro- Capito PAC surveys is the only study that Morrisey has certainly led dating up to October, according to FiveThirtyEight.
That poll was conducted from April 20 to 22, 2024, and had a margin of error of ± 4.38 percent items.
