Actor Robert De Niro said Thursday on MSNBC’s” The 11th Hours” that , former President Donald Trump’s fall was like that of Adolf Hitler’s in 1930s Germany.
De Niro said,” He is ill, he is really a sick man that apparently has been allowed into our program. I’m not calling him names, he just ca n’t be anywhere near the office of the presidency”.
He continued,” I do n’t understand it. I do n’t I do n’t think they understand how dangerous it will be if he ever, God forbid, becomes president. I do n’t think they really understand. And generally, from what I see, yet in Nazi Germany, they had it with Hitler. They do n’t take him seriously. He looks like a lunatic. Works like a lunatic. Mussolini. Similar issue. These guys, I do n’t know why they look like clowns. They are somehow persons, and that social component shares some traits with them. But it would be conflict beyond our mind. There’s no secret about him. He’s straight out before. And what he says is what it’ll get if he becomes senator”.
He added,” The man is a monster. It’s beyond bad. He nearly seems to want to do the worst things he may think of to elude us. I do n’t know what it is”.
De Niro concluded,” We often hear about people from Eastern Europe, the Jews from different parts of Eastern Europe, from Western Europe coming through. Appearance what transpired with the Nazis, France, and other countries. And they come over and you hear these, and they go, and when I was a kid, they’d say,’ You do n’t really appreciate this country, you know, what we know from experience.’ Think what those folks went by. It’s only beginning to become apparent to me. You know, as a child, I said’ Hitler, it’s a problem that previously may happen.’ But then I see that it’s possible. But those persons, oftentimes I run into some people who are close to my years, who are from Eastern Europe, European countries or even Nazi Germany and, you know, you understand it”.
