Republican Mara Macie, who is challenging establishment Rep. John Rutherford ( R- FL ) in Florida’s conservative Fifth Congressional District primary, told Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Saturday that her” salesman” opponent consistently votes the opposite of what his constituents want and is facing” a lot of backlash” back home.
At the top of the section, Boyle emphasized that Rutherford has a “perfect report the wrong way” when casting a ballot in Congress. Macie and Breitbart News Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle joined him on the program.
According to Macie,” I think he simply votes the same way,” according to Macie.” We as liberals believe that he should be voting for or against.” He has voted for every Ukrainian expenses since I initially ran against him, and it has just been one thing after another, like the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which we have money for all the other countries.

When her father and the Department of Defense fought over the military vaccine mandate, Rutherford was initially caught on the radar of Macie. Rutherford’s company wholly neglected the concerns of two families who had reached up to him about” the illegality” of the mandate, while telling two others,”’ Sorry, there’s nothing we can complete,’ “per Macie.
On Saturday, Boyle asked Macie how Rutherford solutions for his report to components” on behalf of the transfer “in Washington, DC, when he returns to Florida’s Five Congressional District.
Even though Rutherford makes an effort to go activities and clubs where he believes he may be supported and spared condemnation, he is starting to learn from disgruntled constituents even at these events.
Also, I think it’s important to point out that he actually picks and chooses which Democratic occasions he attends and which clubs he attends. Often, he goes to the ones that he feels he’s going to get the most help,” she explained”. But, even at those clubs late, he’s been getting a lot of reaction.”
He says,” What he does is he comes home, and he sells the justification for his vote.” And what I’m saying today is he’s not a member, he’s a seller,” Macie charged.
He is now being challenged on his history, according to Macie, who carefully attends these situations to avoid being criticized.
” At one current Republican membership, when he started taking questions, anyone had anything to say, and then suddenly, people raised their hands and said,’ You know, I have a question,’ and questioned him on one of these votes, and the next thing you know, the floodgates were open. People started only,’ Yeah, why are you doing this?’ or ‘ Why are n’t you doing that?’ And they began to attack him because of what we all see.
Macie emphasized that constituents need to be gutsy” because confidence is deadly, and if you’re willing to speak up, everyone otherwise was gonna state,’ Okay, well, I’m not the only one that’s dissatisfied with this.’ “
Boyle also emphasized that the district’s August primary is likely to determine the district’s next representative, effectively creating a general election race. He told Macie he sees this race as conservatives ‘ best opportunity” to take one back from the swamp” and asked for her perspective. She agreed” wholeheartedly.”
” Elections are won in primaries, that’s where they’re won,” she said”. If you do n’t go vote in the primary and you just go to the general, that means that you’re only looking for a letter. And at this point, we should all recognize the fact that an’ R’ does not actually mean a Republican, it does not mean a conservative. It is very well-known and probably refers to RINO.
” So, now, we need to make sure that we’re getting all of our friends, all of our family, all of our neighbors out to vote at that primary if we want to take back this country. That is the best way for people to participate, is by talking to everybody they know and getting the word out,” she added”. Listen, when I get to the general election, I’m up against a Democrat, that does n’t even bother me. I’m worried about the Democrat I’m against in the primary. That’s the one I have to beat.”
