Thousands displaced
More than 165, 000 people have been displaced from their homes in Kenya as a result of flooding and rain thus much. As of Friday, at least 90 persons had disappeared, raising concerns that the death toll may fall even higher.
The Education Ministry initially planned to resume operations this year, but it has since been delayed by a year.
While the government is preparing to travel displaced persons to camps, some have been residing in schools.
