The People’s Liberation Army ( PLA-AF ) intercepted a MH-60R Seahawk on Saturday while it was assisting a U.N. mission to impose sanctions on North Korea. It had launched from the air warfare destroyer HMAS Hobart.
The Australian Defence Department said in a statement on Monday night that” the PLA-AF aircraft released lights along the journey course of the ADF helicopter.”
The airplane and personnel were a risk from this maneuver because it was illegal.
