As AI-generated voices are becoming more popular to describe online books, the audiobook industry is experiencing significant change, both in terms of readership and professional narrators.
TechSpot reports that , Amazon’s introduction of a experimental tool next year, which allows self- published authors to create AI- presented audiobooks, has led to a surge of over 40, 000 AI- presented titles on Audible, the company’s audiobook platform. Indie authors who want to enter the ebook industry without paying the high fees associated with professional voice charges have benefited greatly from this growth. The AI story tool drastically reduced the time and costs involved in the classic studio recording process by converting an ebook to audio, according to a blogger.
But, the responses to this pattern have been mixed. While some writers, like George Steffanos, acknowledge the benefits of AI story for functions with moderate sales that may help the cost of individual story, others have expressed concerns. Despite the fact that these names are clearly marked as such, viewers have voiced their concerns about the lack of a screen to exclude AI-narrated ebooks from the Audible library.
Professional writers are concerned about the potential effects of AI storytelling on their careers as well. When the players involved claimed they were aware of the use of their voices, this action sparked controversy.
