I ca n’t help but notice how ugly and unattractive they all seem as my X feed is rifling as videos of protesters protesting against pro-Hamas campuses across the country continue to appear.
Although I am aware that these are not politically correct ideas in a time when people celebrate obesity and poor health, it is difficult to dismiss student protestors’ uncomedious look. Ugly midriffs and repulsive implants, which have n’t really been in fashionable since the first ‘ 90s, appear on these camps. The masks do n’t help.
Before the demonstrations scurrying across university campuses, I noticed this pattern. Some severe activists, especially those who belong to the gender cult, appear to have some sort of internal self-loathing and anger toward a culture that simply acknowledges outer beauty.
I understand this frustration and it’s not entirely unjustified. I spent the majority of my life struggling with body dysmorphia as a fitness trainer who spent decades frequently in front of a lens. I felt compelled to shed a small amount of weight all at once. I’ve always hated being told to let people who work out with me at home know that” this shift will actually shave your waist” or that a few more reps did “melt the fat away”! I detested the unrealistic standards of beauty and the weight-loss sales pitch, especially in the city of Los Angeles where I grew up.
My insecurities started with infinite exercising and eating habits on the extreme. On the other end of the spectrum are these demonstrators. They completely ignored their looks and health, throwing in the towel. You do n’t have to be a beauty queen to care about your appearance, but you should have more than an ounce of self- respect.
In her deep reserve, Love Thy Body, Nancy Pearcey outlines how widespread antagonism toward the body and science fuels several communist ideologies such as transsexuality, homosexuality, abortion, and euthanasia. She enacts a detailed analysis of how activist behaviour may be influenced by the mind-body dichotomy. The consistency of the physical body with the mind and spirit can help to lessen the dissatisfaction that so many young folks appear to be experiencing now.
Natural health is equivalent to emotional health.
Physical and mental health are linked, and this is true. Studies have shown the positive effects on mental health that come with adopting a diabetic diet, possible because good fats, as well as lipid, are the building blocks of hormones, important agents in feeling regulation. Higher- proteins diets have been linked to higher levels of serotonin and dopamine, brain chemicals that play a role in feeling, motivation, and concentration. Intensive research has also determined that exercise can reduce depression, especially a feeling of worthlessness.
Truly, this is why many of these individuals are driven to engagement. They have no sense of purpose. They are hungry for meaning in a time when everything has been given to them and every convenience is available. Especially the clingy students at an Ivy League institution like Columbia, where tuition is almost$ 70,000 before room and board, books, and other living expenses.
Some protest demanded that their camps receive healthier foods. Some people who have time to prepare foods should avoid eating meats that contain all animal products.
However, premade, highly processed healthier foods like fake meat products, non-dairy ice cream, and other veggie snacks are no healthier than their conventional counterparts. In fact, they are typically worse because they contain inflammatory substances like glucose-spiking carbohydrates, which may cause unstable blood sugar levels and erratic moods.
A standard cake is just as unhealthy for you as a veggie donut. Many people have been persuaded that it is n’t by clever marketers. A great grass-fed burgers, a set of heavy weights, and perhaps a beer to support these meat-eating kids lighten up are what they need.
The University of North Carolina’s young men, who sung the national anthem while preventing the British flag from falling to the ground, all appeared to be reasonably healthy and, more importantly, pleasant. Physical and mental health help to build a sense of pride and something to strive for rather than disparage, but not every young man is required to get a sorority boy or Abercrombie and Fitch model.
Health and Fitness Should Not Be Political
That does n’t prevent corporate media from presenting working out as “far right” extremist behavior. ” Real fitness training, particularly in combat sports, appeals to the far right for several reasons: fighters are trained to accept substantial physical pain, to be ‘ warriors,’ and to embrace messaging around solidarity, heroism, and brotherhood”, says MSNBC columnist Cynthia Miller- Idriss. Brotherhood and heroism. How awful! Some of these so-called protestors need a little bit of physical pain, which is exactly what they need.
Health should be apolitical. It’s unquestionably good to feel strong and empowered. People who exercise their body sovereignty are less reliant on pharmaceuticals and less likely to end up in America’s” sick care” system as a statistic.
According to one study, from 2007 to 2018- 2019, the use of nearly all classes of psychiatric medications including SSRI’s, antianxiety medications, psychostimulants, and mood stabilizers roughly doubled among college- aged students. Post- lockdowns, we know these numbers have increased dramatically.
In a world of digital and information overload, health has evolved from simple things like consuming nutritionally dense food and getting daily exercise to complex bio-hacking regimens to maximize human potential. As a health nut, I’m into all the latest trends, but for most people, extreme measures are not necessary. It’s enough to give your body the time it needs to cook your food and give it the gift that God intended it to be. Pick up some eggs and some weights before grabbing the cream puff or the bagel filled with vegan cream cheese.
Unfortunately, young people’s minds are filled with toxic ideas about colonialism and gender propaganda on social media while their bodies are full of highly processed frankenfood and a cocktail of chemicals. Along with new professors, they need a new diet and fitness routine.
