In the Democratic A.C. in 2024, Jackie Lacey, the first dark and second female district attorney, has supported opponent Nathan Hochman.
On Monday, the Hochman plan issued a affirmation:
The second person and primary African-American to hold the office of district attorney in Los Angeles County, Jackie Lacey, a lifelong Democrat, announced now that she supports Nathan Hochman’s candidacy for district attorney.
…
She claimed that D. A. George Gascon’s inaction has stifled thieves and increased violence.
The District Attorney’s Office needs to have “leadership” who understands that its goal is to bring justice, among other things, by letting people know that criminal conduct in our region is intolerable. We do n’t have that with the current District Attorney”, Lacey said. Because they are aware of their friends inside that business, criminals are more resolute. They are more knowledgeable about business plans than we are. Who did take initiative to improve our safety is now the time to choose.
Hochman, who was the district attorney for Los Angeles County from 2012 to 2020, is supported by Lacey because of his decades of experience as both a counsel and defense attorney, as well as the fact that he will work hard every day to strengthen public security.
Because I feel much less secure now than I did four years ago, Lacey said,” I am endorsing Nathan Hochman for District Attorney.” It’s time to congratulate and applaud the district attorney in place of them and choose a conscience. Voting for District Attorney Nathan Hochman is a joint effort with me.
Hochman, who has served as a national attorney, U. S. Assistant Attorney General overseeing the DOJ’s Tax Division, President of the L. A. City Ethics Commission and as a defense lawyer, said he is incredibly thankful for Lacey’s help. Steve Cooley, a district attorney for three terms, and the Association of Deputy District Attorneys, the coalition that represents L.A., have formerly supported him. County prosecution.
Hochman said,” I am so grateful that she supports my strategy for district attorney because Jackie’s support is very important to me.” She dedicated her 34 years of service to the community of Los Angeles County, where she was born and raised, to seek justice every day.
The Black Lives Matter movement targeted Lacey. When her father confronted her at the family house while urging Black Lives Matter protesters to depart, he was charged with a criminal firearms violation.
The fees were afterwards dismissed. But, Gascón won the 2020 election, cheers to millions of dollars in investing by Soros and a dash of endorsements by California Democrats — including a inversion by next- L. A. Eric Garcetti, the president at the time, initially supported Lace but changed his mind after the Black Lives Matter protests and the millions of dollars he donated.
Gascón has faced two recall attempt, the most recent of which came just short of state employees ‘ claims that the recall petition had found invalid names. He is held responsible for the rise in violence because of his prioritization of “reform” in criminal justice.
