Bob Bezotte, a representative from Michigan, is attempting to reclaim control of the state House by being removed from the Republican key.
The dismissal, listed in online Livingston County member registration information, comes after a complaint was filed past month challenging Bezotte’s oath of discover, arguing it misstated his target.
According to counsel and citizen of the 50th House District, Bezotte claimed that he had spent much of his time in either Arizona or Illinois and that his home was the Howell target where his family lives. However, he had been absent from the house for more than 100 days prior to the filing date.
Wholihan is married to one of the 50th House District Republican individuals, Kristina Lyke.
According to Bezotte, the Livingston County Clerk concluded that Mr. Bezotte’s reading of his personal handle on the oath of identity was false, according to Livingston County Clerk Elizabeth Hundley in a letter from Friday.
In light of the challenge, he did not demonstrate that the person’s true residential address was his real residence address and did not specify what his real residential address was within the electoral district, according to Hurley.
Bezotte declined to comment Monday.
Bezotte, who was accused of mistreatment by his wife last year in divorce decrees, faced even greater investigation last month when he changed his mind about his election-uni campaign plan. When he filed for the competition next month, he had previously endorsed two other individuals: Lyke and Jason Woolford.
Bezotte explained to The News last month that he had been dealing with a “devastating home crisis” when he made the decision not to run for re-election, only to have things change months later.
” I’ve worked hard for my neighborhood, and I believe that I’m the best candidate to represent the 50th District moving ahead,” Bezotte said.
Woolford, who said he had been encouraged to work by Bezotte, expressed anger next month with the Howell Republican’s determination to record. Woolford said he was concerned for Bezotte, calling the original Livingston County prosecutor’s actions” no ordinary behaviour.”
