A day after student protesters and police clashed in the Dutch capital, pro-Palestinian protesters reportedly spent the night occupying one of the University of Amsterdam’s ( UvA ) locations.
Contrary to what they did on Monday night when riot police fiercely smashed into an encampment at UvA, police claimed in a statement that the UvA had never asked them to prevent the demonstration.
Ultraviolet stated in a statement released shortly after midnight that it wanted to find a solution to the individuals ‘ ongoing protests on Monday, adding that it had” caused significant damage” to its properties.
Due to the blockades, the university may keep closing a number of locations on Wednesday.
At the University of Utrecht, some 40 miles ( 25 miles ) north of Amsterdam, local authorities ended a pro- Israeli show at the University collection, the school said in a speech.
