Do n’t worry, neither can the Members of Parliament if you feel as though you ca n’t tell the difference between the major Westminster political parties. In just two months, Natalie Elphicke, the Conservatives ‘ following MP, has defected from the opposition benches.
Elected in 2019 for the Republicans as a replacement for her father, Charlie, who was kicked out of Parliament after being charged with sexual abuse,  , Natalie Elphicke has defected to the opposition Labour Party. The change was reportedly scheduled for the House of Commons ‘ regular meeting with questions for Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, to promote embarrassment for Elphicke’s former boss.
When Rishi Sunak’s fatigued and chaotic government brokered promises, Elphicke stated in her statement why she left the Conservative Party and moved easily to what they should be their sworn political enemies.

Elphicke even specifically criticized Rishi Sunak, the current prime minister, for being involved in the palace coup that deposed Boris Johnson in 2022 and led to Sunak becoming the leader himself through circumlocutious means. The legislator addressed housing policy in the most detail, criticizing the government for not creating enough homes, which, she observes, while ignoring the demand-side matter brought on by mass migration.
Although Elphicke has previously made comments on movement issues, Conservative Party politicians have a reputation for raising mass migration, which is critical to voters, for political gain without intending to deliver on such rhetoric.
So a Conservative MP moves from one moderate party to another just in time for the Tories to face what is likely to be a post-apocalyptic defeat in the upcoming public vote and for them to be — very probably — replaced in government by Labour. This is unlikely to be a difficult move for moderate members of Parliament, given that the Conservatives have consistently failed to win over fundamental right-wing policies like taxes and mass immigration, and that they are even currently being vilified from the remaining on these issues.
Elphicke’s departure to the criticism benches is her next in only two weeks. Dan Poulter, a former secretary of the previous government and also a member of the pacifist wing, defected to Labour at the end of April, expressing his disgust with how much the party had shifted to the center as the party had shifted.
