Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state, claimed on MSNBC’s” Morning Joe” on Thursday that the Supreme Court is “doing a grave harm” to the country by putting off a decision regarding former senator Donald Trump’s claim to political resistance.
Clinton said,” Obviously the stress and the pressure on our structure, our land, our Constitution, our future is so powerful for those of us who understand what’s at stake. If you’ve been in this world as you and I have and studied it, it’s a very challenging time right now, and I do n’t mean that in a derogatory way to other people. Justice delayed is fairness denied. Individuals in our nation appear to be voting absentee from these extremely critical testing. In reality, the issue that is now raging in New York is election meddling. It’s about trying to stop people in our country from having important details that might have had an impact on how they might include voted in 2016 or whether they might have done so.
The Supreme Court, she continued, “is deciding the case regarding resistance a grave injustice to our country.” I read the court of appeals ‘ excellent selection. The judges that, I think, covered every conceivable explanation. What we heard when this case was tried before the Supreme Court, to my ear at least, were efforts to try to find loopholes, to try to create an opportunity for Trump to have attempted to overturn an election, to have carried out hundreds and hundreds of pages of very highly classified material for his own amusement, interest, trading, we do n’t know what. Any American who has served as president and wants to do so once more is subject to these critical allegations. Any vote may consider whether to give our nation to him in his place not once, but many, many times.
