Gunmen from the Sinaloa Cartel dumped systems, torched vehicles, and fought with government, spreading terror through the state of Zacatecas during the last four weeks. According to officials, the violent fighting is linked to the death of a nearby gang head.
The state of Zacatecas reported that gunmen dumped many bodies in the area of Morelos, Zacatecas, on Wednesday morning. Gunmen even blocked off one of the major highways, carjacked vehicle- trailers, and deployed lots of wooden road spikes. Although it is unknown how many systems have been recovered, militants have dumped more than ten systems in various condition locations since Sunday.
According to Proceso, Zacatecas ‘ violence is linked to the detention of more than 26 cartel attackers and the murder of a Sinaloa Cartel regional manager. The militants have been fighting with rival criminal businesses since they were primarily from Sinaloa and Durango. Authorities in Zacatecas assert that the gunmen’s capture has a connection to several deaths and kidnappings.
The crime began on Sunday and continued into Monday with some brawls, barricades, and the arrest of some militants, Breitbart Texas reported. According to Proceso, during the first battle on Sunday, officials shot and killed a gang find called El Gordo, or the large one. Federal officials claimed El Gordo was to blame for the rise in abductions and murders linked to an continuing turf war, despite his name not being made public.
According to Zacatecas Governor David Monreal Avila, the crime in his position this week was a direct result of organized crime and the cost of restoring regional harmony.
