A spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior said at least 50 people had died in Afghanistan as a result of heavy rain on Friday, adding that the dying toll may increase.
According to a spokeswoman for the ministry, Abdul Mateen Qaniee, there has been heavy rain pouring down on Baghlan’s more than five districts, and some people are stuck and in desperate need of assistance.
He added that Friday night’s forecast included two strong hurricanes.
” The Ministry of Interior has sent groups and helicopters to the place, but due to a lack of night vision lights in planes, the procedure may not be successful”, he said.
