School ‘ showed an amazing disregard’ for employees, coalition leader alleges
A coalition consultant said this week that Columbia University may assume a lawsuit from the organization representing the custodians who were inside a school building.
When activists took control of Hamilton Hall earlier this month, TWU International President John Samuelsen claimed to have told Fox News that the New York school had failed to protect its employees.
The security officer and stewards should have been in that place, Samuelsen said, because that is what is at the heart of the situation. ” Columbia showed incredible disrespect and epically failed to protect the labor.”
Police arrested more than 100 protesters after they took over Hamilton Hall, smashing windows, breaking through windows, and barricading themselves inside, while others refused to leave the” Gaza Solidarity Encampment” on a nearby grass, the Columbia Spectator reported.
Samuelsen said a dozen protesters” tried to hold our staff in the creating” during the activity.
He told Fox News,” The entire TWU workforce in the building was frightened and righteous.” Two of the caretakers had to fight their way out, he said.” They stormed in. They were directly told’ You’re staying here, you’re never going somewhere, this produce is bigger than you.'”
Samuelsen described the protesters as” whiny, kind of entitled, spoiled, snotty occupiers” who tried to keep orange- collar workers from going home to their families.
” It’s ridiculous, it’s an affront to staff everywhere”, he said, adding the school should expect a complaint from the union immediately.
According to the report, union officials also wrote a letter to Minouche Shafik, president of the university, asking for more details about the day’s activities, including surveillance images and the titles of the demonstrators who had been detained.
In the email, Samuelsen requested a conference with Shafik regarding “reparative measures necessary to prevent potential placement of users in harm’s way if the demonstrations resume, and reward to the TWU users who were subjected to this vile conduct.”
” The TWU Security Officer, an American- American lady, managed to leave the tower before the walls went off”, he wrote. However, she continues to be shook by her face with wealthy children who verbally and physically attacked her.
A Jewish scholar who claims Columbia has omitted hatred claims that the school has done so in response to calls for the “genocide of Jews” and another hatred.
Israeli students are suing other universities, including Harvard University, New York University, and the University of California at Berkeley, all of whom claim they have been repeatedly violating their health.
Just, Columbia canceled its university- large initiation ceremony in response to the pro- Israel protests. Otherwise, the academy says it will concentrate on enhancing surveillance for smaller school reunions and individual graduation ceremonies.
