While speaking at a charity in Seattle, Washington, on Saturday, President Joe Biden said there could be a peace in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas if the U. S. designated Islamic terror group “would transfer” the existing victims.
” There would be a peace monday if Hamas would transfer the victims, the women and the old and the wounded”, Biden said. ” As I’ve said, it’s off to Hamas–if they wanted to do it, we may close it tomorrow”.
Hamas launched an attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, by land, water, and air, leaving 1, 200 Israelis murdered and more than 250 citizens taken as victims. There are still about 130 victims left, despite the fact that some of the victims have been freed since that time.
Israel launched a self-defense activity in Gaza’s Hamas-controlled country following the attack.
Biden said at a recent gala in Seattle,” If Hamas may release the captives, the women, the elderly, and the wounded, there would be a peace tomorrow.” As I’ve said, it’s off to Hamas— if they wanted to do it, we could stop it tomorrow”.

Biden made the remarks after he claimed in an appointment with CNN that he would withdraw Israeli weapons and artillery if they invaded Rafah, Hamas’s final stronghold. The United States had stopped a package of 2, 000-pound weapons to Israel the week before Biden threatened to withdraw arms from it.
” I made it clear that if they go into Rafah, they have n’t gone into Rafah yet, if they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities, to deal with that problem”, Biden said during the interview.
After Hamas launched a storm of missiles from Rafah toward the Kerem Shalom border crossing, which serves as an entry point for humanitarian assistance into the Gaza Strip, Biden spoke with CNN. The attack injured ten members of the Israel Defense Forces ( IDF) and left four of them injured.
The Army advised people to seek safety and leave Rafah the following day. Days after this, Hamas called for a peace. Israeli leaders responded by saying Hamas was pleading for a peace and reaching agreements with Israel that had not even been made or agreed upon.
The IDF seized power of the border crossing Israel stocks with Egypt on Tuesday by sending vehicles into Rafah.
As more people in Rafah began their businesses in preparing for a potential ground war, the IDF was urging more people to leave as of Saturday.
