The United Nations reported this week that the estimated number of women and kids killed in Gaza had been lowered because they were based on information from the Gaza Ministry of Health or the Government Media Office, both of which are run by the Hamas criminal business.
On May 6,  ,  , the U. N. reported that more than 9, 500 people and over 14, 500 kids had been killed. Two days later, the U. N. revised down those figures to  , 4, 959 people and 7, 797 kids, according to a report from The Jerusalem Post.
The UN published a statement saying it “has thus much not been able to produce independent, thorough, and confirmed casualty numbers”.
Israeli civilians have been repeatedly warned by the Israeli Defense Force to leave their homes before attacking, most recently dropping brochures in Rafah identifying secure have ns.
