The most recent indications that the Arizona Senate race is in full swing are that Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz. ) is planning a$ 9 million ad blitz while his Republican rival Kari Lake intends to purchase a$ 10 million ad.
Gallego and Lake, who is seen as the heavy favorite in the GOP primary, are running for outgoing Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s ( I- Ariz. ) seat — a critical Senate race that could determine which party wins the majority this fall.  ,
Gallego has reserved$ 19 million in general election marketing, setting a record so much among Democrats in advertising doubts,  , according to The New York Times, which first reported on the advertising campaign. Hannah Goss, a spokesperson for the Gallego plan, gave The Hill the details from the Times report.  ,
The National Republican Senatorial Committee ( NRSC ) is supporting Lake in launching a$ 10 million ad buy at the same time. The original local news outlet target Gallego over multiculturalism and border security in her first plan,” Great Differences,” which was released on Monday. The ad is slated to air on broadcast, cable and digital media statewide, according to her campaign. Axios , was the first to report , about her ad blitz.  ,
” Radical Ruben Gallego wo n’t be able to hide from his Far- Left policies, voting record, and unwavering support of the Biden agenda that has caused the humanitarian, national security, and fentanyl crisis that Arizonans are facing everyday”, the Lake campaign said in a statement upon announcing the ad buy. ” As Arizona’s next U. S. Senator, Kari Lake will make it her# 1 priority to secure our border and make our neighborhoods, our streets, and our state safe again”.
Gallego’s campaign responded to the Lake-NRS C advertisement, pointing out, for instance, that Gallego had supported a bipartisan border bill even though Lake opposed it in the beginning of the year.  ,
” Kari Lake is a power hungry liar who will do or say anything to gain power – even join national Republicans in launching desperate, false attacks on Ruben’s record”, Goss said in a statement.  ,
In fact, Ruben will defeat Kari Lake in November, which he claims is” she is laser-focused on bringing people together to address the border crisis” ( even when it means bringing back his own party ).
Recent polls have indicated Gallego leading Lake in the Arizona Senate race, but occasionally within the poll’s margin of error. After being critical of them during her gubernatorial campaign and having the support of the NRSC, Lace has attempted to make amends with them this cycle.  ,
However, when she lost the gubernatorial race against Governor of Arizona, Lake’s opposition to the election results from 2022 was unfounded. Her race is hampered by Katie Hobbs ( D), her controversial remarks, and her ( D) ( Putnam ) speech about how voters should” strap on a Glock”.  ,
