
The mine’s user said on Tuesday that two miners were killed in southwestern Poland and one remained under after an over vibration caused a partial collapse in a part of the Myslowice-Wesola me.
The quake occurred 870 feet (2, 854 feet ) beneath.
There were 15 workers in the danger zone, 12 of whom were rescued and 10 of them were taken to clinics due to their wounds, Polska Grupa Górnicza, which owns the plant, told state news agency PAP.
” Unfortunately, two of ( the miners underground ) were pronounced dead by the doctor”, Rajmund Horst, deputy chief executive of Polska Grupa Górnicza said.
According to PAP, firefighters were also attempting to reach an underground worker with whom they had no contact.
According to PAP, this was the fifth crash this year to result in fatalities at a Polish coal mine.
