On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “AC360”, CNN Senior Political Commentator and former Obama adviser David Axelrod stated that while democracy issues are important, “if you’re sitting around the kitchen table talking about democracy and the future of democracy, it ‘s]probably ] because you do n’t have to worry about the cost of the food on your table”. And President Joe Biden appears to be more focused on defending his financial performance and getting payment for the good work he has done in many ways, as opposed to actually advocating for individuals in a difficult market because of inflation.
Axelrod said,” I’ve said from the beginning, if you’re sitting around the kitchen — and I feel strongly about these democracy issues, I think they’re very, very important — but if you’re sitting around the kitchen table talking about democracy and the future of democracy, it ‘s]probably ] because you do n’t have to worry about the cost of the food on your table. It’s more probable the thing on your mind if you have to think about that. And I think that, I’ve been — I’ve said earlier, I think the President needs to bend into those problems a lot more. He appears to be focusing more on defending his financial performance and getting payment for the great deeds he has made in many ways than he does for people in a difficult market as a result of inflation.
