During the annual National Peace Officers ‘ Memorial Service at the U.S. Capitol, President Joe Biden made an appeal to the people of the fallen officers officers.
Biden addressed the crowd on Wednesday,” I admire your confidence in being here, and I hope you find solace knowing that their devotion will never be forgotten.”
Biden also reflected on the passing of his son Beau, his wife Neilia, and daughter Naomi, and described his anguish as” that dark hole in your chest.”
Biden’s target coincides with anticipation that Biden’s 2024 Republican general election player, former President Donald Trump, may be endorsed by several authorities unions before November’s competition.
In a statement at the 40th anniversary services, Biden addressed the people of the four law enforcement officers who were killed last month in Charlotte, North Carolina, as they attempted to elude him while issuing criminal arrest warrants.
Despite Biden’s support of police officials, he has had an uneasy relationship with law enforcement, compounded by names during the 2020 election to defund agencies across the country. For example, he was criticized in March for no attending the funeral of , New , York , City Police Department Officer , Jonathan Diller, who was shot dead during a traffic stop in Queens. Trump made an appearance at the Diller death, held the week of Biden’s million- money charity with previous Presidents , Barack Obama , and , Bill Clinton.
” As the leader says, we must do more to protect our brave men and women in rules police”, the White House said earlier Wednesday. ” That means money for , more officials, more detectives, and more technology , — so officers have what they need to complete their jobs , safely , and protect us, and taking further action to counter weapons murder”.

Democrats can identify a democratic weakness, such as when the House Republican campaign arm ran an advertisement attacking Democratic candidate Dave Min over his previous statements regarding defunding the police.
” The campaign unmasks Dave Min, Democrats ‘ candidate in the very competitive available California 47th , Congressional District, as a dramatic law- break who edges with criminals over cops”,
Ben Petersen, a spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee, told reporters.
