A new project given to eighth-graders at a private school in Atlanta has sparked discussion among kids due to its alleged antisemitism. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, students at the Mount Vernon School were asked to assess Adolf Hitler’s management skills through a series of questions as a result of the project.
Apparently, students were asked to rate Hitler’s features as a president using a criteria called the” Mount Vernon Mindset”. One issue inquired about Hitler’s usefulness as a” answer seeker”, while another questioned his moral choice- making abilities.
The options given along with the concerns included “lacks information, approaching anticipation, meets expectations, exceeds anticipation” to identify the tyrant.
Families expressed concern about the assignment’s possible racist effects and worried that it might be used to glorify Hitler, the Nazi Germany’s mastermind of the Holocaust.
Former individuals also noted that they had never encountered the same issues while attending the institution.
In response to the reaction, Mount Vernon School authorities removed the project from the education. The project was directed at the introduction of World War II and to advance students ‘ understanding of historical events, particularly Hitler’s exploitation of anxiety in relation to the Treaty of Versailles, according to Principal Kristy Lundstrom.
