WASHINGTON ( NewsNation )— President Joe , Biden may soon issue an executive order to shut down the southern borders, according to a new report.
A White House source, according to the New York Post, claims that Biden intends to arrest unlawful immigrants once their daily bridges exceed 4, 000, which is often overdoed, including this previous April.
With the 2024 presidential election only 172 weeks apart, Biden is under increasing pressure from both sides of the aisle and from voters to solve the frontier problems.
The statement follows U. S. Customs and Border Protection data showing almost 180, 000 contacts in April, averaging just under 6, 000 daily immigrant bridges. ( The number includes migrant encounters at and between entry points. )
If the professional attempt had been in place, the frontier would already be closed.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, announced that the Senate would vote on a frontier act that the parties had negotiated months back as part of that federal protection plan.
This act increases detention center ability, increases border closure caps, and hires thousands of boundary agents.
However, extensive work probably remains before a prospective vote.

When Biden may make this executive order is also unknown.
The White House has declined to ensure the report in writing.
