Jordan Acker, a part of the University of Michigan’s Board of Regents, discovered a “masked attacker” who had called for “defunding the police” at his home.
Acker, who is described as being a” Democrat from Huntington Woods, Michigan” on the school website, wrote in a blog on X that the veiled person came to his residence around 4: 40 a. m. and added that this “form of opposition is not peaceful”.
” Around 4: 40 A. M., a veiled intruder came to the door of my mom’s house with a list of needs, including defunding the police”, Acker wrote. ” My three girls were asleep in their rooms, and sadly conscious of what transpired”.

Acker added:” This form of protest is no calm. Any member of the Michigan community should not engage in this intimidating behavior, especially one that is being led by someone who demands the death of people they do n’t agree with.
More than 30 undergraduate protesters reportedly staged demonstrations outside of “at least one” of the university’s residences, according to a statement from the University of Michigan, while other demonstrators reportedly traveled to other houses.
Protesters marched, chanted, and posted their needs on the doors of these homes after arriving with veils and “tents and false dead wrapped in wounded sheets on the garden.”
Student organizations that had also taken part in an anti- Israel encampment on campus, such as the Jewish Voice for Peace ( JVP ) at the University of Michigan, Students Allied for Freedom and Equality ( SAFE), and Transparency, Accountability, Humanity, Reparation, Investment, Resistance ( TAHRIR ) Coalition took credit for the protests and demonstrations that had taken place, according to the statement.
The school criticized activists for showing up to the properties of members of the Board of Governors, stating that doing so is “intimidating conduct and, in this instance, improper trespassing”.
” This kind of conduct is not protected by conversation, it’s dangerous and unacceptable”, the school added.
GOOD MORNING, @Regent Hubbard.
This night, on the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, students side delivered our needs to Regent Hubbard. She laughed at students ‘ demands for divestment about two weeks ago while attending a party right outside our camp. photograph. twitter.com/TvPGv5NjWf

The TAHRIR Coalition posted what appeared to be false dead with heart and tents on the grass in front of University of Michigan Regent Sarah Hubbard’s residence in a video that was posted to X. Protesters can be heard chanting,” Regent Hubbard you ca n’t hide. You are funding genocide”.
Protesters at the University of Michigan have been demanding that the school stop making money off of the Gaza conflict.
” I will not be intimidated. Public authorities in Michigan were threatened by mobs of election deniers who had engaged in similar conduct following the 2020 election, according to Acker. ” No group, on the right or left, may participate in this behaviour, and it cannot be tolerated in any free world”.
