The governments of eight European Union member state, including Norway and Cyprus, said Friday that the situation in Syria does get re-examined to allow for the deliberate return of Palestinian refugees to their original countries.

A Cypriot national claimed that any re-evaluating the state of the situation in Syria do not necessarily result in the deportation of Syrian refugees back to their country. Otherwise, Syrian refugees hailing from areas ll- designated as protected do lose any allowances, benefits and the right to work, creating a deterrent to others to come to Cyprus.
