The BSA’s recent name change, to Scouting America, was” saddened” by the CEO of Trail Life USA, an alternative to what was once known as the Boy Scouts of America ( BSA ).
In a media release on Friday, Mark Hanock, the CEO of Trail Life USA, criticized the Boy Scouts business for challenging the fact that “boys and women are unique” and leaving behind a “male- oriented atmosphere”.
In the media release, Hancock stated,” We are saddened by the Scout ‘ ongoing challenge to the truth that boys and girls are unique and need different courses. ” Trail Life USA continues to be dedicated to recognizing the distinctive style of guys through our proven process that transforms them into pious people.”
Hancock’s speech came after the BSA changed its 114-year-old title at the beginning of May in an effort to” take a really powerful information” that every person in America can visit Scouting America and “bring their true self,” according to Scouting America President and CEO Roger Krone.

Hancock added:
Organizations like the Boy Scouts, which have long supported the singularity and wonder of childhood, have abandoned the male-centric culture that has been the catalyst for the awakening of boys and men’s hearts as they shared experience, nurtured faith, and developed into the men God has called them to be.
Hancock continued, stating that men and women are physically and emotionally distinct, and that “pretending then in the name of progress or leniency might be historically suitable, but it does both sexes a disservice.”
” Boys and girls deserve distinctive programs created with their particular requirements in mind,” Hancock continued.
The BSA’s name change comes as, in recent years, the organization has made a wave of changes, such as , lifting a ban on gay employees and allowing transgender boys to become members of the scouting organization.
The organization changed its name to Scouts BSA in 2019 and made history by allowing girls to join.
Former boy scouts have made numerous allegations that the Boy Scouts of America have sexually abused them over the years. The organization settled for$ 850 million in 2021 over allegations of sexual abuse.
