Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al- Saud, 88, did receive medical treatment for a “lung infection”, according to a media statement from the government’s standard news agency.
The king would be going through medical tests after he had been suffering from” a high temperature and pain in the joints,” the Saudi Press Agency ( SPA ) revealed in a post on X on Sunday morning.
After completing the clinical testing, it was discovered that King Salman had a” heart disease.”
The SPA wrote in another article,” The medical staff decided that he should have a care plan consisting of antibiotics until the swelling went ahead, God ready.”

King Salman was admitted to the hospital in April for a regular inspection, according to Fox News, and the SPA reported at the time about the heart disease.
Following King Abdullah’s passing, King Salman assumed control of the king in January 2015. The prince appointed Mohammed bin Salman as Saudi Arabia’s crown prince decades after he seized the throne.
At the time, Saudi Arabia’s king prince , was Mohammed bin Nayef, who had also served as the deputy prime minister and interior secretary. But, Nayef was stripped of these roles.
